As a proud member of the Indian Australian diaspora, I was honoured to represent our community on Australian Citizenship Day and engage with Katy Gallagher, David Smith MP and Alicia Payne MP on matters of inclusion, citizenship pathways, and community integration, advocating for equality and understanding for all.
I stand in solidarity with all those affected by the tragic events at Bondi. Reflecting at Parliament House alongside the Hindu Council of Australia ACT Chapter, my thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the wider community. We honour those we lost and will not forget them.
I recently met with Michael Pettersson MLA to discuss the inclusion of Punjabi and Hindi languages in ACT public schools, the needs of the Punjabi community, and the broader importance of cultural awareness and social cohesion. The discussion was constructive, and I look forward to continued collaboration to foster inclusivity across the ACT.
